Short Story: Lucus and the Beast
The blood chilling growl echoed in the distance as the rain pitter pattered. The boy ran for his life despite the slippery stones that threatened to trip him. He didn't know whether the storm or the growl made his blood freeze.
He was startled by the crack of thunder which made him run faster. The monster let out a roar as it started to get closer. The boy looked at his surroundings; bushes and trees blocked the moonlight and the shadows of the branches looked like claws reaching out to him.
Lucus knew the familiar voice but he ignored it as he saw the cave ahead. The monster flew overhead, it dived down but Lucus had already reached the cave which the monster scraped with full speed.
Lucus took slow, steady breaths.
It was his father. Lucus ran towards his father and embraced him.
"Father, the beast has awoken from its slumber".
His father stroked his head.
"Don't rush yourself to get the monster, get some rest for now ".
A week passes and Lucus continues to worry a

Aichi brought his knees to his chest and curled up into a ball; Miwa stared at him and couldn't help to feel sorry for him
"I'm sorry for keeping that secret from you Aichi; we never thought you would understand"
"It's fine... I just don't feel right after all this stuff happening to me"
They all heard a loud bang on the door, it was Morikawa
"I was worried about you Aichi! You were walking around the street as if you were soulless, you wouldn't even speak to me!"
Miwa quickly grabbed Morikawa and pushed him outside the house, when he came back he sat next to Aichi and placed his hand on his shoulder
"I hope you haven't heard anything..."
"Matter of fact I did! What's going on here?"
Miwa muttered a few words then tried to sneak outside
"Out with it!"
"Remember what happened at the summer camp? When we were building the decks with Shins cards?"
"And you acted strange as if you were hearing thing
